  • Children of God by Marie Sharp

Girl and Boy Reading Book You may give them your love but not your thoughts, / For they have their own thoughts. / You house their bodies but not their souls, / For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, / which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. / You may strive to be like them, but seek not / to make them like you. / For life goes not backward nor tarries / with yesterday. / You are the bows from which your children / as living arrows are sent forth. • While we were yet sinners. by TREVOR IRWIN

I took this at City of London Cometary on 31st December 2008. This is one of a kind. There is no other in the world. yet it stands secluded in the cemetery hidden from most peoples views. It took 15 years to complete and stands 17 ft high and is life size. It was carved in Italy from Marble and shipped to London. it now stands on the tomb of pedley family. All known relives are deceased and this beautiful work of art is left to the elements. As I stand below looking up at the scene, It always moves me to tears to know that , While i was yet a sinner Jesus died for me. God has invested so much for us to be saved and in a loving relationship with our heavenly Father. 100% of proceeds from sale of all my art, or donations made via our charity website goes toward Philadelphia Mission charity, who are saving lives of extreme poor, sick and disabled in remote and isolated villages in Africa. Donate some of your art and save a child’s life! I invite all to please visit my Mission Africa Charity website: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Camera: Canon EOS 400D. Lens: Canon EF70-300 IS USM. • Prayer by TREVOR IRWIN

Visit my Africa Mission Charity Website: http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Ungwa/Fadda Village is very remote and many children here are disabled by Rickets. rickets is a disease that causes limbs to bow and leaves the child with chronic pain. Here you see Leah praying to God before she starts her daily task of caring for her younger brother and sister, John and Sarah. Her father died shortly after our last visit in December 2007. Mother is sick. This is why I and the small team of unpaid volunteers work around the clock to help children like Leah and her family. • Self service filling station. by TREVOR IRWIN

I love this shot, so I thought I would lighten the mood a bit. I and a small team were walking to a village, that was extremely remote, with no roads, so we had to park the Jeep and walk in temperatures of 37 Decrees. / We pass through Fulani tribe areas where they graze their cattle. I noticed cattle in the far distance and started to take a few shots with my Sigma 500m telephoto lens. I could not see much except a young Fulani boy kneeling beside the cow. Then As I went closer, I really did put the fear of God in him. He he shot off like a bullet screaming and shouting. All the team were laughing and told me they boy had never seen a white man before and must have thought he saw a Ghost. As you can see from the photo, he had plenty of fresh milk straight from the udder.
