  • Where we shall go in 2009 again ... by jchanders

Of course we do not know on this first day of the new year what it has in store for us. It may be a pretty tough year for some of us. But we do know one thing: it will lead us again to spring and sunshine up here in the northern hemisphere. And I am looking forward to it! / Thank you all ever so much for your good wishes! I wish you all a Happy New Year too, full of inspiration and sunshine, with good light on all your paths! Perhaps even on some beautiful lanes like this beechtree one near Maartensdijk. Near Maartensdijk, 7th May 2008, 7.31 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 36 mm / F 8, 1/30, ISO 200

  • Quiet time on the Bay by George Cousins

One of a series of Canada Geese migrating. This evening a flock had settled down at Patricia Bay, Vancouver Island. They usually come after the sunset but still with that beautiful afterglow to enhance the scene. The small ship is docked at a Canadian Coast Guard base.

  • Front Door~ Looking East by BarbaraManis

I’ve been home sick in bed for days now, but I opened my front door and looked to the East. This is what I saw. My camera has been sitting in the corner for days and finally was able to come out and see the day. Taken with my Nikon D-80, 18-135 mm lens, UV filter. Green Valley, AZ

  • One Winter's Morn by jansnow

This is a photo taken in my neighborhood, Woodland Hills, Utah. This community sits at about 6,000 feet altitude on the side of a mountain. This is the main road into the neighborhood and this location is at about 700 South on Woodland Hills Drive. We received another foot of snow on January 2nd and this was taken on January 3rd as we drove to town. We love this beautiful community and it’s clean air, four seasons and beautiful nature as well as the wildlife we get to observe. This is where we have retired and we love being here.

About This Group

Where do you live? What’s special, interesting, quirky, weird, unique, worthy of promotion or simply makes you want to sing the praises of your place?

There’s literally thousands of Bubbling neighbourhoods around the globe. Share your special part of the world with us. Show and tell us what it’s like to live, work and play at your place, the place you call home.

A neighbourhood defines everything that is close, nearby or within a recognised, local boundary. A community comprises a social group of any size whose members reside in a specific locality, share government and often have a common cultural and historical heritage. Submissions to this group can depict both your neighbourhood and your community: infrastructure; buildings, streets etc, people, culture, history, activities, events, landscape, terrain, climate and issues specific to your place.

Your Place can include the neighbourhood in which your home and/or your static holiday home is located. It can also include the place where you grew up, even if you don’t live there anymore…..we know the places of our childhoods hold special memories and feelings for us all.

There are other groups for Flowers and Plants, Portraits, Birds and Animals etc! If they happen to be part of a larger scene which depicts your neighbourhood and/or community, that’s fine; but please, no works focussing soley on such things.

Please be sure to read the rules

Positive Comments are always well received and motivate us all, be generous with yours. Let your global neighbors know how you feel about their art and their special place. Please be courteous and respectful at all times.

Challenges are fun; the more the merrier! Support your fellow Bubblers by registering your vote. All those who enter a competition must also vote – and not for yourself……please!

Features will highlight the great talent and variety within our group. We will be choosing 6 works of art each week.

Questions, comments, suggestions or ideas are always welcome. Feel free to Bmail any of your hosts.

Most importantly……......HAVE FUN AND SHARE!

HAPPY BUBBLING!!
