  • Butt rock by Dave Sandersfeld

This remote odd rock/bridge is on northside ot Cape Kwanda State Scenic Area near Pacific City OR. It is a long walk back in unless you lower your tire pressure one minute on all tires and then drive on Sand! Gas Station @ Pacific City will re-air tires. Quite the adventure and photo shoot! Waves crashing in carved the crack:o)))))

  • I want to express my appreciation for this new feature, to the hosts of Still Life and Florals! It is always an honor, and at the same time a humbling experience, as I know there are so MANY artists who are also very deserving of a feature. Thank you! – Pat

  • Mirrored Beauty by Randall Scholten

Sunset over Garrison Lake and the Pacific. Garrison Lake is located in the coastal community of Port Orford, a small fishing village on the southern Oregon coast. The lake is separated by a narrow strip of dune, beyond which lies the Pacific Ocean. The rocks on the horizon (better viewed at full size) are sea stacks of the Orford Reef, which are approximately 5 miles out to sea.

  • We Have Lift Off by Visual Inspirations

This was taken straight from my Canon Power shot S3 IS no adjustment on the image or special filters used. Straight up. The ISO was 100 and the mode was AV which made the shutter speed slower. / This balloon actually landed in our front yard in Rancho Santa Fe, CA and tried to take off to get out and they couldn’t.. needless to say, when they land, they open a bottle of Champaine and pass the bottle and we just joined them and had a ball!! The owner of the balloon gave us two free rides for landing in our yard! It was the largest hot air ballon ever made. It held 21 people. You see, We were having dinner and I said to Tony there is a balloon landing in the yard and he laughed and said.. “yeah right!” and we look out the door and sure enough, the pilot said “Are we too late for dinner?” and we laughed and drank Champaine for about 3 hours until they realized they couldn’t get out until the morning, so they came back. They also didn’t realize that we just caught a rattle snake about 5 feet from where they lander earlier that day, so no one got out of the balloon after I told them…lol /

  • Rear View by David Friederich

This image of a beautiful mature bald eagle is part of my series on the wetlands of the Fraser River Estuary of south west British Columbia. The bird pictured here was one of many eagles perched in trees around grassy fields beside the river. The fields were highly populated by many species of ducks feeding on the grasses and other plants and roots. The eagles, of course, were feeding on the ducks. • Lake Cowichan, BC by Magnum1975

Just after crashing rain for about 4 hours the clouds parted. The lake was so calm after beating the shores. I had to go out to document the change.

  • "Gallitin River" by Lynn Bawden

This river runs only a few hundred feet from a good Friend of mine’s cabin on the outskirts of Bozeman, Montana. I took this in October, 2007…Lynn

  • Frosting by Tamarap208

Frosting was captured looking at the Selkirk Mountain Range towards Schweitzer Mountain Resort. A few night of bitter cold weather turned the mountains completely white!

  • Snow Needles by Tamarap208

Snow Needles was captured along the banks of Lake Coeur d’alene. When the water temperature is warmer than the air, it creates a fog that sticks to everything. This was captured after a night of -2 degrees, with clear skies…

Experimental work! This picture didn’t turn out like I had expected so instead of deleting it, I worked with it! Thank you for viewing and I hope you like it! /
