Barbed by Amanda McLennan
My daughter’s class had an excursion to Fremantle Prison so I volunteered to go as a parent helper. This is the razor wire that surrounds the top of the walls in the outside exercise yard. The prison was closed down in 1991 and now opens for tours and functions.

Outsides of stained-glass windows and doorway on the north side of St John’s Kirk (Church of Scotland ) in Perth town centre. Taken on an old Olympus Trip 35mm compact camera using Ilford Delta 400 film, processed myself. I thought it looked a bit olde-worlde.

Cyclops by Kim Grace
Acacia cyclops seed pod… These images were taken by a wonderful friend of mine who is too modest to post on RB, we collected handfuls of these beautiful seeds in about 5 minutes from a tree in my back yard, the sun was shining, the air was fresh, it was a beautiful day… / you can see why they are called cyclops, the older the seed pods get the redder and angrier the outer protective husk becomes…the seed is the little black object in the centre, they are as hard as God’s forehead as we say around here, takes a hammer to break them and yet most of them will be eaten from the inside by little insects who can bore into the hard shell, leaving an empty husk on the ground…nothing is wasted in Nature…of those that do survive the insects, fires and the process of natural selection will germinate, not many but enough…the trees are not large, about 5 metres tall, very green and dense foliage, we have them all over Perth, many people regard them as weeds, funny enough…they only live for 5 to 8 years, providing a habitat for thousands of insects and birds and then they die to be replaced by a younger generation who got his day in the Sunlight and was able to grow strong… / / The seed pods twist and turn themselves into what some may call grotesque shapes, like a man gone mad with rabies, but all I see is beauty in their forms, and beauty in the way they have aged and cracked and wrinkled and browned off , sorta like my own face really though that is not as beautiful as these… / There is so much beauty in nature but most of us only see the mountains and the glaciers and the larger forms that the World provides as eye candy…and yet there are so many small gems that are trodden underfoot, scooped up and obliterated by the lawnmower, racked into piles and burnt because they are a damn nuisance! / I look at a naked woman and see beauty / I look at these seeds and see beauty / I guess, like many on RedBubble, I am one of the lucky ones…we can see beauty where others only see a dried up old seed pod / Our eyes are open and we see the World :)

I’m considering selling my 5D MkII Kit. Everything was purchased locally here in Perth and comes with a 12 month Canon Australia warranty. I will provide the buyer with the blank warranty card and original receipts. What you will get is: 1x Canon EOS 5DMkII Body / 1x Canon EF 24-105 f/4 IS L with front and rear caps, Lens hood and case / 1x LP-E6 Battery pack / 1x Battery charger / 1x USB Cable / 1x Audio and video cable / The Manuals and software (All still sealed in original packaging). / The neck strap (Also unused). / Blank Canon Australia Warranty card and original sales receipt. Also included in this package: 1x Canon EF 50 f/1.8 MkII Lens (Brand new and only used twice and comes with receipt). / 1x Shutter release cable. / 1×77mm Hoya Pro 1 Circle Polarising filter (Also purchased when I got the 5D2). / 1×77mm Hoya 8x Neutral density filter (Also purchased when I got the 5D2). Everything is in mint condition, And I’ve taken about 1000 shots with it (It’s rated at 150,000 shots, So plenty of life left in it!). The price is $5000 for the lot. Local pickup in Perth would be preferred, However I can post the kit anywhere in Australia. I might consider selling just the body only if someone made me a serious offer, However, I would prefer to sell the entire kit for warranty reasons and so I don’t have to find buyers for the lenses and filters etc. If your interested send me a bubblemail and we can discuss things further. Here are some pics:
