Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway by Steve Liptrot
The Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway (E&BASR) is a heritage railway in North Yorkshire, England. It is part of the former Midland Railway branch from Skipton to Ilkley: the E&BASR currently runs from Embsay via Halton East and Draughton to Bolton Abbey station, a distance of 4 miles (6 km). There are plans to re-extend the line back to Addingham (where a replica LMS Midland style train station is being planned for construction / as the old original station site has been redeveloped as housing) and also to Skipton where passengers can interchange with trains on the Airedale Line in the future.
