Discovery at the Beach by Elizabeth Bravo
Watercolor painting. I took several photos of these three girls at the beach in Carmel. It was the first time that I really had fun with my telephoto lens. They had no idea that I was there so I was able to capture the fun that they were having being at the beach. My intent was in taking photos of my niece and nephew, also great captures, but this was a fun photo to do as a painting.

I just finished this for a Christmas commission and even though I slammed it out in two days I really like it. Because the light is flat I was forced to flatten my colors. This in turn forced me to render the painting in a style I have been trying to find for a while. / This also reminds me of how beautiful Spring can be in Denver. / Watercolor on paper, 10×15 inches.
