  • Better Places To Be by Matthew Stewart

About After hearing that the weather forecast wasn’t going to be too great, and it was going to be high tide at sunrise, we decided to head to Currumbin Beach anyway to meet up with Josh to do a scout at least here. What a fantastic place! High tide was just right with the water rushing all the way through the rocks causing all sorts of incredible effects. - ISO 100, f11, 35 sec, 20mm / - Sigma 10-20mm Lens / - Tripod used Processing - Photomatix HDR – 3 exposures (2, 0, 2) / Soft light layer / - Clarity and and unsharp mask.

  • Perfect Morning 3 by Paul Manning

By midday the offshore winds that created this perfection had turned onshore and the momentary pulse of perfect waves was gone! The ocean can be so fickle! Sure was great though to get out and get some ‘feet dry’ perfect waves! Bring on the waves! Enjoy, Paul! 23 December 2008, Duranbah NSW, High tide, just after 6am, mid 20’s c www.perfectwavegallery.com

  • Over the Falls... Almost by Paul Manning

This guys took a long hard look over the falls before making the call not to go! Not the biggest wave of the day, however gives you an idea of the take off at Snapper! The water at the bottom of this is only a couple of feet deep at the most, the water gets this amazing green color about it as all the sand mixes into it. Enjoy! Paul I’ve been adding more shots from the last few days to my website – check them out! If you see any there that you think would go well here please let me know and I’ll upload them! www.perfectwavegallery.com

  • Butt rock by Dave Sandersfeld

This remote odd rock/bridge is on northside ot Cape Kwanda State Scenic Area near Pacific City OR. It is a long walk back in unless you lower your tire pressure one minute on all tires and then drive on Sand! Gas Station @ Pacific City will re-air tires. Quite the adventure and photo shoot! Waves crashing in carved the crack:o)))))

  • Anatomy of Waves by Randall Scholten

When the sun catches the waves just right, they show a fascinating and beautiful aqua-cyan iridescence. Timing and light is critical in capturing these wave x-rays. Isn’t the marbled color fascinating?
