This photo was a shot taken at Phillip Island while me and my brother were waiting for the Penguin Parade. / He was picking up sand and it was running through his fingers and I thought that it looked nice, so I took a photo of it. / Later I then changed the color balance in Photoshop to get the gold colour.

A union of two forces, two people. They could be family, friends, or lovers. Or they could represent abstract concepts. The different colors are the different forces embodied in and around each hand, swirling and coming together. The fingernails wrap around each other’s hands symbolizing that as they grow, they strengthen the bond between them. Created using pencils and colored pencils, on my wedding day.
