A Thunderstorm in Town, by Thomas Hardy / / She wore a ‘terra-cotta’ dress, / And we stayed, because of the pelting storm, / Within the hansom’s dry recess, / Though the horse had stopped; yea, motionless / We sat on, snug and warm. Then the downpour ceased, to my sharp sad pain, / And the glass that had screened our forms before / Flew up, and out she sprang to her door: / I should have kissed her if the rain / Had lasted a minute more. ACRYL ON CANVAS My bvrother had a wife who is now passed away who danced and danced and danced….she was a phenomonal dancer and danced to EVERYTHING! especially latin music…..He is a conga player/percussionist…..He would play and she would dance till the floor looked like it was moving…She was a little petite woman , maybe 4’11” and about 90 lbs if that much! I miss her…she a had an energy and vibrance like noone i had ever known….Even when she got sick….she still danced! This is about them…..........I can still see her dancing whenever he plays…........................
