  • Thorny Devil, Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park, NT by Matt Lauder

When I was on my way to Kata Tjuta I saw this small object on the road. As I got closer I saw this little “Devil” basking in the sun on the bitumen road. So I stopped and relocated him to a much safer location. I then grabbed the 1ds and took a couple of snaps. The best view was to get as low as possible. So here I am laying on the red dirt, spinifex digging into my back and camera in hand with these tourist buses flying by. I’m sure it was a funny sight to the international tourists but it would be no surprise to the bus driver who is probably thinking “Stupid photographer” site: www.mattlauder.com.au / blog: www.mattlauder.wordpress.com.

  • Lake Mungo Sunset by Nerida13

This is part of the lunette known as the ‘Walls of China’ in Lake Mungo National Park. It was a stormy evening and the sun peeked through the clouds just before sinking below the horizon. / Lake Mungo National Park is a part of the Willandra Lakes Region World Heritage Area in New South Wales, Australia.

  • Too Close to Comercialise by StevePearce

The Domes of Kata Tjuta are a sacred mans site and photographers require a licence and cultural clearence to sell them. This one didn’t pass but as I’m not selling this image and just shareing it with you its ok. Kata Tjuta, Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park / Northern Territory / Australia

  • Uluru Reflections by StevePearce

Constant down pours for more than a week have produced some amazing sights around Uluru. Usually bone dry sand and dust is transformed into a tropical garden if only for a short time. Uluru, Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park / Northern Territory / Australia

  • The Rock 02 by Albert Sulzer

The trees are dwarfed by the size of Ularu .

  • Power Lines by Elana Bailey

This was taken near Clare, two hours north of Adelaide, South Australia, on New Year’s Eve. The colours depicted a hot summer and a perfect end to that year. The power lines drew my eye to the distance and in a sense to the future, and all that it held. This was taken using a Canon DSLR EOS 350D.

  • Pre-Dawn Kata Tjuta, 07 November 2008 by StevePearce

The pre-dawn light is a wonderful thing to experience and appreciate as the heat of the day is just below the horizon. Kata Tjuta, Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park / Northern Territory / Australia

This car sits alongside the road to Lake Mungo National Park. I wonder how long it has been there for, and who left it there in the first place? Oh, my ways are strange ways and new ways and old ways, / And deep ways and steep ways and high ways and low, / I’m at home and at ease on a track that I know not, / And restless and lost on a road that I know. / - Henry Lawson

  • Foggy morning by amante

Taken with a Nikon D200, lens 70 to 200, 1/60 shutter speed, f/13, focal length 200mm, iso 100 This was taken early in the morning, I think somewhere between Rockhampton and Gladstone. I had the kids in the car, so was quite rushed when I took this, but I was pleased with the outcome. (Would have tried harder to get the windmill to stand out if I had more time.) This has had little manipulation, (just levels and curves), and no cropping, but would appreciate it if anyone can tell me how to improve it further in photoshop. Any ideas? Cheers.

  • Sunset at Lemon Farm by Mick Davson

Taken on a friend’s farm near Capertee in NSW.
