Panorama of Kennicott Copper Mine, Salt Lake City, Utah by jwwchek
This is a panorama of the Kennicott Copper Mine. It is the largest open pit mine in the world. The mine is located outside Salt Lake City, Utah. The mine is open to visitors with a very informative welcome center and a birds eye view of the interior of the mine. The coloring on the mountains is a result of reclamation work using removed rock that have a number of different metal ores present.
