Every day men and women are having cosmetic
surgery to appear as if they were on the red carpet
in Hollywood. They want to feel and look “perfect”,
there is no such thing, the word shouldn’t even
exist! To be “perfect” is a flaw in it’s self. Further
information and statistics can be read here:
I didn’t want to take the smaller
version of Stitched Smile down
after it had so many views, favs
and comments. This one will be
here to enable prints.
Stitched Smile - LRG belongs to the following groups:

“To me, Life, not Death, is normality” – well Matt death is in fact as common as life. How can there be life and living without death and dying? You choose to photograph pretty things (as do I), please don’t critisize anothers art because you don’t like the picture created. Ash creates art that is raw, bold and thought provoking, instead of looking at the picture and seeing just that – try looking for the meaning.
Keep up the excellent work Ash.

Ash Sivils,
your work is VERY creative, and I like a lot of it. Now that you have added an explanation of this work in the Description section, I understand it much better. And I agree with your thoughts on cosmetic
surgery. I’ve always wanted a bigger chin, but now… :)

M
Ash Sivils in reply to Max Gatrell’s comment
True, it is but I suppose I would.
I like playing doctor with my images.
Thank you so much ..
Max Gatrell
You’re very welcome ;)
It reminds me of that movie ‘Pan’s Labrynth’
when after the villian gets slashed, he has to stitch himself up.
There’s just something primal about it…love it!
M
Ash Sivils in reply to Max Gatrell’s comment
I yet to see that movie..
I hear it was very good but I
usually like when the hype dies down
so I can form my own opinion about it.
But thank you, I hear good things
so that has to be a compliment
Max Gatrell
It’s an outstanding movie, extremely visual.
call me sick, but I like things which grind the spine,
this picture does just that…yet it’s hard to look away ;)
