I love colour and enjoy using it in my paintings…I hope to raise peoples spirit and like to add a touch of humour where I can. Thanks for your supportive comments.
Cathy, I have always admired Frida Kahlo…her work, her relentless spirit…even though so much of her life was spent in pain and physical restriction. Here I have aimed to set her free of all those earth bound barriers…so she can fly and be close to nature which she loved so dearly. :) Cheers

Hi Anni, I love how you tranferred those feelings of your admiration and well wishes for Frida onto canvas…absolutely marvellous! It’s rare to see Frida smile, it’s good you painted her smiling :D
Hey udonchow, I like your avatar (the owl). Thank you for your comments. Yes, I see her here as free from pain and physical restriction, surrounded by the things she loves. ~ Anni :)
Hi greenfrog, thank you for your comment. Yes, she certainly had her fair share of pain physically and emotionally in her lifetime, guess she enjoys peace and freedom now :) ~ Anni
