Wolf In Yellowstone Park
Black wolf seemed to be alone between Norris and Canyon in Yellowstone Park on Mother’s Day. She loped along side the highway, just inside the tree line, for miles.

That is great – love the framing from the limbs. I almost went out last week to photograph grizzlies – I wish I had.
Gary Beeler
Thanks Jay. In two days, we saw three grizzlies, all close to the road. The rangers were busy making people maintain the 300 foot distance.

great shot gary, just curious if you know for sure if it was a ‘she’ this wolf matches the description of a male from a new pack in that area.
Gary Beeler
Thanks Nathan. No, I’m not positive, but I couldn’t see any evidence of her being a ‘he’; I’ll have to examine my other shots, blow up, etc, to double check.
