Varinia, I think I actually like this one better, even though I really love the framing of the other. The symmetry seems to draw me in more. Both are beautiful with lovely tones and loads of charm and romance. Nice work.

Thanks BB, I couldn’t decide between the two. I liked the cropped initially but the texture in this one grew on me, so happy you like them :))

Peter Hill
the colour, contrast, light and texture are superb, Varinia, I’m just bugged with something about it that’s not gelling. I think it may be the angle and the foreground. No, it’s just the foreground after another look. I can now see now you bent down, but my eyes are being distracted too much away from the subject by the green. The cropped version is the other extreme. Try an in-between crop? eg leaving the same amount of flat foreground (horizontal) as the distance between the ground and the bottom of the vase (vertical)? how would that look?
Globalphotos in reply to Peter Hill’s comment
Hard to shoot objects that are completely offline, I personally like the mouldy green lol Both images have not been cropped in PS as I wanted them to remain as is, thanks for your input Peter, good to hear your opinion :)
