Lifeguard at Dicky Beach

Having only ever seen pictures of the SS Dicky shipwreck taken at dawn with waves flowing over it, I was surprised when I arrived at Dicky Beach and found a full-on beach scene of swimmers, sunbathers, kids, flags and surf lifesavers.

I wanted to capture the interaction between these young sunlovers and the stalwart shipwreck that’s been lying in the sand longer than any of them have been alive.
