You know when the tiny thumbnail appears in your bubble activity doo dah when someone on your watchlist posts something? Well this one appeared as per usual, so I clicked on the image link to see just what this looked like.
And gasped.
Next reaction was that little pressure behind the eyes when you feel a tear-jerker moment coming on.
Yeah I know I’m a big wus, but I really couldn’t help it. I’m very impressed by this piece Lucy, the emotions came across with sledge hammer impact initially but after you’ve looked at it for a bit, at least for me, another emotion comes along. Hope.
Well done, this is just brilliant!

Very touching. Thanks for supporting the US troops and in general. I am one of many American’s who haven’t agreed with the war from day one, but despite the war, we all must support all troops everywhere. Great talent! I wish I had you skills for drawing.

I have goose bumps and tears. What an emotive work of art. You have captured that moment that is sadly experienced by many. What a healing/ honor work you have here. WOW! Love the hint of color too. PERFECT in every way.

This hits me square in the chest like a freight train… The terrible injustice of it all.
The child… will never know his fathers touch…..
The Father… will never see the Man his son will become…..
Damn… War….. DAMN IT ALL TO HELL!
Never before have I seen the Horrific Toll WAR exacts on families, so poigniantly captured in Artform.
Bravo!
L K Southward in reply to Michael Bermingham’s comment
Michael, your response touched me so much thankyou, a thousand times thankyou- you don’t know how much you’ve described the true meaning of this piece!

What a message you’ve drawn! You might think of sending a copy to George, Dick, and Don. They seem to be oblivious to what they have done. This is so poignant and heartwrenching and meaningful! Thank you!
Andy Mueller IPA
I looked at it again to see what a few folks I sent this link to said. Tears welled up again …. Now I have to go and have a cigarette …..

So powerful and so emotive!
