It is the Iraqi flag, I superimposed images over the top of it, I did another inside a peace symbol but it squished out of shape and looks like a pancake! hahaha
I’m afraid your beliefs are right, still, it doesn’t hurt to express an opinion about these things, so… whatever happened with bin laden? was he a target to begin with or merely an excuse? Either way, thousands of civilians have been killed in this senseless war.
I agree with MtnMan…re the flag and doing a series! .. flags are so symbolic of how humans have to divide and separate themselves…..this is a powerful and disturbing image…..a good way for you to unleash your talents AND give the world something to think about!!!!!
thanks Wendy, I have about four different versions of this, however, in saying that, I’m not sure whether I’d call them a series or simply a series of mistakes and improvements! lol
There are NO mistakes! I think you have a very powerful “voice” for confronting the world, because you do not censor your expressive talents..you let them all run free! I think you could do a whole heap more of these passionate images and in doing so, it might help you find a direction for your energies as well as making a statement that needs to be FELT by the world leaders…..or those who would be leaders…
hahahaha, irrespective of whose side your on, I love your flag! thanks for bringing a smile to my face, see —-—> :) -psst I can’t remember what Left and Right stand for, if you’re anti-bush, are you a lefty or a righty? See, I’m politically ignorant in many ways.
Good on ya Jennifer B. sometimes its good to look at the bigger picture. I totally agree with Wendy – you have a very powerful voice and commanding presence – it is obvious that people want to hear what you have to say. World Peace has to be the biggest thing we can all work towards as artists.

That’s true, but I have this weird philosophy that if everyone were to take more care of the smaller picture, then the bigger picture would take care of itself. It can be easy to dwell on those things which feel out of our control, hence feeling helpless and achieving nothing at all, but much harder to intervene in and solve the problems happening just yards from our own front doors, I’ve seen people turn their backs when kids have been abused and I’ve seen them step over a homeless person lying in the street as blandly as if they were stepping over a crack in the footpath, so yeah, the bigger picture is important, but so too are the things happening in our own front yards that we CAN do something immediate about. Now I feel like a fucking hypocrite because of all the shit on my own doorstep that needs fixing… ;-)
Yes I quite agree with you – I always keep the big picture as my ultimate path in life but as you say it all begins at home – especially nuturing and having peace within our wonderful selves. Hope you are feeling OK. ArianeXX
The UK CAbinet & US Administration sold this on a pack of lies- remember the non-existent WMD and the non-existent links to al Qadea?
It was paid for by the poor people’s taxes which got raided by private contractor firms (some of which directly linked to senior Whitehouse staff), perhpas half a million dead civillians….
The biggest war crime since WW2 and no one is in jail for it. This will be “freedom and democracy” we are supposedly exporting.
Oh lets not forget the war of attrition they used to grind ordinary innocent people into teh dirt of poverty, starvation, illiteracy, crime.
History will judge us as being complicit in this!
SHAME on us in the UK and US for failing to stop it.
Not to mention being given free license to completely undermine U.N. sanctions, hence putting everyone globally at risk, now a country only has to think they could come under attack and they’re free to make a preemptive strike!
thanks Damien, I can understand a war due to self defense, but to bomb a country that isn’t posing a threat for no reason is just murder. I guess a lot of soldiers have been brainwashed and programmed to kill.
