  • As most of you have probably heard by now, a local father and his two children, aged 15 months and 4 years, died this week while on a fishing trip at the Tathra Wharf. If you havent click HERE The community has been in shock since the drowning and have since started an appeal to assist the family through what can only be described as an extremely difficult time. As Tathra residents, we have witnessed first hand, the impacts within the entire community with an immnese feeling of sadness laying over us and thinking about what the families must be going through. This LINK provides more information on the appeal if this event has touched your life and you wish to make a donation. Our family has also already made a donation to the appeal, and I will be donating 100% of ALL profits from any sales over the coming weeks to the appeal to provide further assistance to this family. I personally would like to thank everyone who has sent BM to us with their thoughts and prayers.

  • Russell Falls by Gwenda Oxley

Mt. Field,National Park, Tasmania. In 1885 Russell Falls became Tasmania’s first nature reserve, while Mount Field was declared a national park in 1916. The diversity of Mount Field’s 16,265 hectares (40,191 acres) is remarkable. Striking as the falls are, if you confine yourself to the area near the Visitor Centre at the bottom of the mountain you’ll miss an accessible and extraordinarily beautiful alpine experience – the Tarn Shelf above Lake Dobson. / !

  • Over the River and Through the Woods...... by Mike Griffiths

I was captivated by this majestic scene this evening along the creek not far from my house. It looks so peaceful and serene, and it’s my hope i’ve captured at least some of what I experienced!

  • Riverside happiness by jchanders

Enjoying the September sunshine at the side of the River Waal near Tiel. Actually I do like this scene, but I always feel somewhat shy about taking and submitting a shot like this. As it is not indiscrete at all, however, I have decided to submit it. What do you think about it? Near Tiel, 26th September, 4.04 pm / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 26 mm / F 22, 1/80, ISO 200
