On the 12th day of May 2008 I witnessed (along with thousands of others) a perfect circle in the form of a rainbow around the sun at about noon-time at a beautiful place in the Philippines. Completely perplexed, stunned and amazed at this extraordinary and divine sight, I HAD to create this artwork. Im not sure where you were or what you were doing at this same moment of time but I guess this is all we have. Small pigments of time all squeezed together. And if we’re blessed enough, we get moments like these and realise even for a second the gravity of God’s love. There were no photo’s taken at the time and all I had available to me was the memory of this moment… The moment my heart burned. Print available. / Vector digital art created in illustrator.

©2007-2008 Aimee Stewart, Foxfires – please see my CC Terms of Use before considering using this image for any personal or commercial use http://foxfires.deviantart.com/journal/15905899/ / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- There are so many familiar sayings out there about ‘Time’ as we know it. Time heals all wounds. Time flies when you’re having fun. Time stands still. Time waits for no one. If I could turn back the hands of Time. Frozen in Time. Timeless…. you get the idea. Well, I wanted to create a series that perhaps captured the essence of these things, in relation to human emotion. And so my Time series was born. I know in my heart what each of them means, but I did not name them anything specific, so that the viewer could make up their own mind as to the meaning of each piece. I think that is something unique to every individual. So…my heartfelt thanks for continuing to watch and support my artistic endeavors. It feeds the fire that burns and inspires. / Aimee

Young couple in love enjoying a sunset in Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, USA. Other works in the Cades Cove Collection: About Cades Cove: Cades Cove (formally known as Tuckaleechee Cove) is found in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee, USA. Cades Cove / was a working farm valley until the 1930’s when the National Park was formed. The Park Service has attempted to recreate the 19th century feel of this farming valley and preserve it for future generations. Before the first white settler arrived on the scene, Cades Cove had been a part of the Cherokee Indians’ domain. Abrams Creek and Abrams Falls are features named for a prominent Cherokee chief named “Old Abram” who at one time lived in a village at Chilhowee on the Little Tennessee River. According to tradition, Old Abram’s wife was named Kate, and Cades (Kate’s) Cove was named after her. Please enjoy these other images:
